Japanese Triathlete Yuka Sato Blazed the Trail!
Yuka Sato claimed first gold medal at the inaugural Youth Olympic Games, stunning the Girls triathlon competition with her dominant performance in the final 5k run. Ellie Salthouse (AUS) finished in 2nd on the podium, while Kelly Whitley (USA) in 3rd.
According to media reports, when asked about the feeling as a first-medal winner, Sato said, “I made it!! I knew this would be the first contest in the YOG, which really got me motivated to go for gold. Really wanted to drive Team Japan!!”

原本不在前三名的佐藤优香，脚步似箭的在赛跑项目追上对手！
赛后她对记者表示“我做到了！我知道这是青奥运的第一项比赛，因此以金牌作为目标，很希望能以这场比赛激励日本团队！！”
